Blomus is a German family-owned design company headquartered in Sundern, North Rhine-Westphalia, specializing in contemporary home, living and outdoor products. Its history dates back to 1921, when the Blome family began manufacturing bicycle components. The company entered the design and giftware sector in 1961 and introduced the Blomus brand in 2000. The company is now managed by the fourth generation of the Blome family.
Over the decades, Blomus has developed from its manufacturing roots into a design-focused home and lifestyle brand. The company works with international designers including Sebastian Herkner, kaschkasch, Kazushige Miyake and Adam Miller, alongside its own studio Blomus. The combination of manufacturing experience and contemporary design remains part of the brand’s identity.

💡What Makes blomus Products Distinctive in Design and Function?
Blomus develops products with clear forms, practical functions and carefully selected materials. Material choices include stainless steel, wood, ceramics, glass, textiles and marble, depending on the function and application of each product.
Blomus products PORTER, IRIS and ORU have all been named German Design Award “Winners”. PORTER received the distinction in 2026, while IRIS and ORU were recognized in 2025. The official Blomus catalogue also states that two new collections appear each year, providing a regular cycle for new product launches.

💡How Is blomus Expanding Beyond Traditional Home Accessories?
Blomus develops product series around shared design concepts, with related products using consistent forms, proportions and visual details. Individual pieces can be used separately or combined within the same indoor or outdoor setting.
Recent collections show how Blomus continues to extend its design concepts across different product lines. STAY, MAKOTO and LITO LED each develop a distinct design direction into a broader collection, while the 2026 Capsule Collection brings together decorative pieces through a coordinated palette of blue, green, soft yellow, warm red and terracotta.

💡Why Has blomus Continued to Participate in JINHAN FAIR for More Than 20 Editions?
Blomus has participated in more than 15 editions of JINHAN FAIR, maintaining a friendly relationship with the exhibition over the years. Because Blomus needs to source a wide variety of products in China, they hope to visit more products within a short period of time. JINHAN FAIR allows blomus to cover multiple sourcing needs in a single visit and meet suppliers across different product areas.

Blomus will return to the 54th JINHAN FAIR from October 21 to 27, 2026, at PWTC Expo Guangzhou to source new products, exchange ideas with suppliers, and explore opportunities to further expand and update its product range.
