Top 3 Easiest Home Accents to Gift for Baby Showers, Bridal Parties and More | Editors’ Picks
2026.05.27
The year is certainly not short on gift-giving holidays. From Mother’s Day and Father’s Day to Valentine’s Day and special occasions like bridal and baby showers, there’s a day to honor just about anyone with a gift. But finding the right gift year after year can be challenging for consumers. A display of small home accents that work as beautiful but functional gifts is sure to catch their attention, especially as consumers look for items that serve a purpose and won’t be thrown away in the short term.
Here, the editors at Gifts & Decorative Accessories dish on their three favorite home accents that would work great in any special-occasion display.
Lenise Willis’ Pick: Floral Frame by Rifle Paper Co

When I was pregnant with my now one-year-old daughter, I got a lot of baby shower gifts, mostly things that would help me to raise her safely. But one gift I continue to treasure, even after she’s outgrown her car seat, swaddle sacks and onesies, is my floral picture frame from Rifle Paper Co. Though I usually associate the brand with its fine stationery, it also makes beautiful home accents.
The picture frame features a decorative glass border designed with colorful flowers and holds a standard 4×6 photograph. I’ve never admired the back of a picture frame before, but this one is worth noting. Its soft green velvet backing and gold-button clasps to hold the picture in are impressive and make the frame feel even more special as a keepsake gift. To match the frame’s preciousness, I’ve used it to frame Sophie’s first-month milestone. I know it is a high-quality frame that will stay with us for a long time, and it is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend it for a Mother’s Day, baby shower or even a wedding gift display.
Amanda Erd’s Pick: Teachers Plant Seeds Canvas by Glory Haus

As the mom of a soon-to-be 6th grader, I have spent the last six years looking for unique gifts for the teachers who have taught my son each year. I always try to avoid cheap clutter and instead give something thoughtful or useful, depending on the teacher’s interests. I pair every end-of-the-year gift with a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant in hopes that they understand my appreciation for all they do during the school year.
This year, I was lucky enough to come across this adorable shelf sitter from Glory Haus when browsing my local gift boutique. Normally, I would avoid these types of gifts because I understand that teachers can’t possibly display every gift they get from 20-plus students each year. The beautiful flowers painted on the canvas are colorful and vibrant without being gaudy. The canvas itself is 7 inches by 5 inches – perfect for sitting on a shelf or a desk without taking up too much space. It also comes ready to hang!
My son’s teacher this year loves flowers, so I couldn’t pass this one up. After all, teachers really do plant seeds that stay with our kids forever. And they certainly deserve all the appreciation for it.
GDA Staff Pick: Taper Holder by Tag

There’s no gift more classic than the candle, but gift-givers can up the ante with these decorative taper holders by Tag. The fused-glass design is trendy, playful and colorful, but still easy to fit into many different decor styles. The lighthearted design, colors and fruity accents make them easy gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day and more. And since recipients can use them to hold their favorite tapers, they won’t be quickly disposed of like traditional candles.
