Sears Home & Life stores open in Kansas, Louisiana and Alaska

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears has opened three of its Sears Home & Life stores — the retailer’s new small-format specialized store concept — in Overland Park, Kan.; Lafayette, La.; and Anchorage, Alaska.

Sears, which has closed more than 100 of its larger stores in the past few months, had announced the openings of these small-format stores earlier this year.

The Kansas City-area and Louisiana stores offer mattresses, appliances, home services and related home products. Mattress brands available include Tempur-Pedic, Beautyrest, Sealy, Serta, Simmons and Stearns & Foster. Other home products available at all three stores include major appliances and small kitchen appliances, vacuums, floor care, home environment products and smart products. The stores also offer Sears Home Services for appliance repair and home improvement needs.

The 12,000-square-foot Overland Park store is at 6327 W. 119 St.; the 15,000-square-foot Lafayette store is at 4405 Ambassador Caffery Parkway; and the 7,500-square-foot Anchorage store is at 901 E. Dimond Blvd.
