From January to November, 2011, China’s furniture& parts export volume has reached 33.858 billion dollars, with a growth of 14.7% compared over last year. Right after America and EU, the ASEAN market is emerging to be one of the largest markets for furniture exports, reported by China Custom.

In Fujian Province, the furniture export to ASEAN rose by 2.7 fold from January to November, 2011. America and EU continued to be the first two largest markets, with an export volume of 620 million dollars and 410 million dollars respectively, according to statistics of the Custom. ASEAN ranked as the third largest market, with an export volume of 110 million dollars.
In Guangdong province, the Guangzhou Custom published a set of numbers showing that, from January to October, 2011, the total furniture export volume of Guangdong Province has reached 12 billion dollars, among which furniture export to ASEAN has rose by 80%. ASEAN has already become the third largest furniture export market of Guangdong province.
Higher export tax rebate, transportation advantage and reliable products quality are the three contributing factors to this phenomenon.
