Italy's furniture sector continues to benefit from strong exports and domestic demand, while digital adoption remains below the global average.

According to research by Bip, reported by Il Sole 24 Ore, the global furniture market is worth more than €800 billion and is expected to reach €940 billion by 2030, growing 3% annually. Online sales are forecast to rise from 35% to 40% of global furniture sales. Italy exported €11.2 billion worth of furniture in 2025, equivalent to 43% of national production, maintaining its position as the world's fourth-largest exporter. Meanwhile, digital sales in Italy are expected to increase from 31% to 36% by 2030, still below the projected global share of 40%.
