Atlanta Market sees strong summer showing despite economic uncertainty

2025.08.08

ATLANTA — The summer 2025 Atlanta Market brought a renewed sense of energy and connection to the gift, home and outdoor industries, according to organizers.

The buying events welcomed a global audience of buyers and sellers to AmericasMart Atlanta July 15-21.

The event also marked the return of the co-located Casual Market Atlanta, expanding cross-category sourcing and strengthening the market’s position as a unifying force during a time of economic uncertainty.

July Casual Market sees strong mid-year momentum, say organizers

“Andmore continues to deliver on its promise of supporting and elevating both emerging and established brands, offering a powerful combination of community and commerce,” said Jon Pertchik, Andmore CEO. “In a climate shaped by shifting economic conditions, our focus remains clear: investing in the buyer experience and creating meaningful opportunities for growth among buyers and sellers.”

Diverse buying groups

Buyers from across the U.S. — particularly the Southeast, Midwest and West — as well as international attendees from Canada and Latin America, turned out in strong numbers. Ten buying groups also convened for curated tours, events and networking.

Janis Johnson, president and founder of GC Buying Group, said her organization’s July visit met expectations: “Vendors were pleased to exhibit, and buyers loved attending the GC event and shopping the excitement of Atlanta Market.”

The co-located Casual Market gave first-time buyers an entry point into the outdoor category. Chad Helm, owner of Dock Solutions of Kentucky and Outdoor Living, said, “We discovered new vendors, especially in outdoor living, and being able to see everything in one place made it an incredibly valuable and seamless experience.”

Order writing strong

Three buildings hosted more than 1,000 permanent showrooms showcasing new products and expanded assortments. Home and gift brands alike reported strong order activity.

Uttermost launched a new outdoor collection at the market, using the combined audience from both events to reach a broader buyer base. “Atlanta Market has been integral to our business for many decades, and we’re excited to grow our presence with a new showroom and 7th floor space,” said owner Mac Cooper.

Douglas, a longtime home furnishings anchor at AmericasMart, also reported strong traffic and appointment engagement. “This market has brought great energy,” said Collin Mallon, director of operations. “Buyers keep coming back for that full-service experience.”

In the gift sector, Creative Co-Op senior vice president of sales Garry Schermann noted stronger order writing than the previous year: “Markets like Atlanta are invaluable. It’s where you get the most comprehensive assortment of vendors, and this year, buyers are really engaging.”

Nearly 1,000 temporary exhibitors filled the lower levels of Buildings 2 and 3, offering curated access to international makers, handmade goods, lifestyle items and more. Emilie Wong, marketplace and trade marketing manager at Original Duckhead, said exhibiting in the South opened new customer relationships: “This show has truly opened the door to new accounts and exciting growth beyond our core audience.”

Market dates shift for 2026

Due to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the summer 2026 Atlanta Market will shift to June 9-14, a month earlier than usual. The event will combine with Atlanta Apparel to create expanded opportunities across categories.

Casual Market Atlanta will retain its summer timing, with exhibits scheduled for July 21-23, 2026, at AmericasMart Atlanta. The winter 2026 edition of Atlanta Market will run Jan. 13–19.
