Most Spring, Most Creative- the 31st JINHAN FAIR Opens Today

The 31st JINHAN FAIR, which was most expected by global buyers had its grand opening today in Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center. It covers an exhibition area of 83,000 square meters. Nearly 800 top manufactures of the home and gifts industry in China have exhibited ten thousands of new season products on the first day, to warmly welcome buyers from 160 countries and regions; to showcase the Chinese creativeness of the home and gifts industry to the world.


Stunning New Products Catch Buyers’ Eyes


To be prepared for the most important sourcing season, all exhibitors have launched eye-catching, innovative new products made of various material. The integrated sourcing group for the 4 European retail giants- EuroGroup Far East; B & M Retail、Next Retail Ltd from the UK; Hobby Lobby、Lifetime Brands、Creative Coop from the US; Karstadt Quelle of Germany; The Greek toy giant-Jumbo SA were all waited at the gate as usual before the opening of the FAIR, attempted to strike orders ASAP.

 

L’Infinito, the Italian importer has been visiting JINHAN FAIR for more than 10 years. Its sourcing director, Lorenzo Peruzzi said, “I always stay at JINHAN FAIR from the first day to the last day. We buy gifts and ceramics. We are buying more and more ceramics in the recent years. We’ve bought a lot for today only.”


Piotr Grabowski, the sourcing director of Polish retailer Belldeco said, “We have been importing home decorations from JINHAN FAIR for more than 10 years. 90% of our annual sourcing budget is spent here, it is our most important sourcing base.”

 

Innovation Empowers your Price Negotiation


The FAIR continues to put emphasis on the two new highlight exhibition areas: “outdoor gardening” at hall 1 north, and “lighting fixtures” at level 2+. Outdoor decorations and lighting products are gathered in these unique exhibition areas, which have attracted many buyers to stay and examine.


Mr. Liu, the chairman of the first time exhibitor, YONGLIN Glassware International Trade, Ltd, co, said, “Yonglin produces and exports glassware, the annual export amount valued at more than USD 5 million. We came to the good reputed JINHAN FAIR to enhance our efforts in exploring the European market. Today is the first day, the traffic is much better than my expectation. More so, the quality of buyers is very high, new clients take 50% of the traffic.”

 
Along with the restructuring of the international economic framework, the external demands have been weak; the low cost advantage is disappearing as well. Thus, China has entered a new normal in export. Product innovation and brand cultivation have become the inner drive of most companies’ development; they are also the sharpest weapon to break open low price dilemma and snatch orders. An exhibitor from Zhejing province believed that Chinese companies were already in the key period of creating their core competitiveness, “Chinese companies must go out. As long as we grasp the market trends and lead the market with our new products continuously, we will not be impacted by the externalities.”


The leading Chinese companies, such as, Minhou Minxing, Shenzhen Desily, Yiwu Wadou, Zhengzhou Home paint, etc. have all done their market categorization, product line extension; enhanced their design innovation, to look for a new breaking point in the market. Mr. Xue, the director of Shenzhen Dsily said, “The European market is greatly impacted by Fx rates this year. Our clients have been prudent. Besides keeping our research and development to maintain our old clients, we have also developed new line of products for young consumers.”


On the afternoon of 23rd and the morning of 24th, Mr. Georges Lustig, the founder of the French high-end chain retailer Du Bout Du Monde and Ms. Olga Sismanidou, the Greek senior designer will bring two lectures on “European Market and Sourcing Trend” and “Display is the Best Marketing” respectively. The lectures will provide advices on exploring export market and enhance marketing capability for Chinese companies.
