A stuffed peacock found on eBay stands on a 19th-century French pedestal from Niall Smith Antiques in the living room of a Manhattan apartment designed by 2010 A-List designer Jeffrey Bilhuber; the doors are sheathed in grosgrain-trimmed velvet, the vintage French sofa is from the Shop, and the cushions are by Todd Alexander Romano Antiques and Decoration.

The living room of Joyce Dawson’s Chicago apartment, designed by 2011 A-List designer Alessandra Branca. The Venetian sofa and Bridgewater armchairs, all by Branca, are grouped with Holly Hunt’s bronze-and-glass cocktail table; a pair of vintage benches is fitted with seat cushions in Clarence House’s Jaguar Velours Soie. The antique Italian terra-cotta medallions are portraits of Roman emperors, the paintings are 18th-century Italian vedute, and the Natura sisal is by Stark Carpet.

The steel sculpture on the table is by Boris Curatolo from Pearl Street Gallery, and the abaca rug was custom made by A. M. Collections.

In a living area of a Manhattan duplex penthouse designed by 2010 A-List designer Steven Gambrel, a series of botanical studies hangs above a sofa upholstered in Clarence House’s Linen Velvet; the walls are covered in Maya Romanoff’s Performance Vinyl.

The living room walls of a New York home by 2010 A-List designer Victoria Hagan are paneled with a V-groove detail, the mirror is from Mecox Gardens, and the console is by Soane.

In the living room of the Bridgehampton, New York weekend home of 2011 A-List designer James “Ford” Huniford, antique painter’s stools serve as cocktail tables in front of an 18th-century English settee. The collage is by Ingrid Pitzer, and the metal plant stands are antique; the linen-covered sofa is from Huniford’s new furniture line, the oak bench and nautical buoys are Early American, and the floors are reclaimed pine.

The living room of 2010 A-List designer Suzanne Kasler’s Atlanta house, which she shares with her husband, John Morris, and their daughter, Alexandra; Bernard sofas upholstered in Concord Bone linen velvet flank a pair of Sanford acrylic tables, all by Nancy Corzine. The curtains are of the Silk Trading Co.’s Como silk, the mid-century bronze andirons are from Parc Monceau Antiques, and the Russian stools are from a Paris flea market.

The living area of Winsome Brown and Claude Arpels’s Manhattan loft, designed by 2011 A-List designer Lee Mindel of Shelton, Mindel & Assoc. A pair of Pierre Guarich armchairs flanks a cocktail table by Poul Kjaerholm; the sofas, upholstered in a Kvadrat wool, and felt ottomans are by Paola Lenti. The rug is Irish, and the green throw is by Tomas Maier.

A Louis XIII mantel from Kneen & Co. and a stacked-stone fireplace surround in 2010 A-List designer Charlotte Moss’s living room; the curtains are of a Brunschwig & Fils cotton, the bergère is upholstered in a Lee Jofa chenille, and the gilt-wood chandelier is from JF Chen.

In the living area of a Manhattan loft designed by 2010 A-List designer Thomas O’Brien, circa-1970 Norwegian teak-and-canvas chairs from Neven + Neven Moderne; the floor was coated with layers of Benjamin Moore’s industrial paint.

In the living room of a Toronto house designed by 2011 A-List designers Glenn Pushelberg and George Yabu, the Italian cocktail table is mid-century.

In the living room of Shyama Patel and husband’s Gramercy Park duplex, 2010 A-List designer Miles Redd pairs 1940s French club chairs from Aero with midcentury French slipper chairs in silk ikat from John Rosselli International; the RL ’67 Boom Arm floor lamp is by Ralph Lauren Home, the vintage Maison Jansen table lamp is from Pavilion Antiques, and the floors are ebonized maple.

The living room of a young family’s Manhattan apartment overlooking Central Park. The design was a collaboration between architect Peter Pennoyer and 2010 A-List designer Katie Ridder. A unique print by Andy Warhol, J.S. Flowers, and a painting by Jack Youngerman, Enigma, hang above a sofa upholstered in silk mohair by J. Robert Scott; the cocktail table by Urban has a faux-parchment finish. The carved Dutch Colonial Burgomaster chair is 17th century, the 1940s gilded-iron table is by Raymond Subes, and the drawing is by Alexander Calder. The North Indian carpet from Beauvais dates from the early 1900s.

In a Manhattan apartment designed by Grand Master John Saladino, 17th-century French wood paneling frames the media room/den.

The living room of a Malibu, California, house designed by 2010 A-List designer Michael S. Smith and renovated by Oscar Shamamian of Ferguson & Shamamian Architects; the custom-made sofas are covered in linen, the cocktail table is from Amy Perlin Antiques, the Persian rug is antique, and the Continental neoclassical armchair came from the estate of Bill Blass.

Two paintings by Graham Gillmore, I Think I Can, I Thought I Could and Too Good To Be Truf, hang in the living room of 2010 A-List designer Robert Stilin’s East Hampton house; the stools are vintage Hans Wegner, the French ’40s leather armchair and vintage Arne Jacobsen Egg chair are from R.E. Steele Antiques, and the Art Deco rug is from F.J. Hakimian.

In this Southampton, New York, living room, the sofas and leather ottoman are by 2011 A-List designer and homeowner Timothy Whealon, the sofa pillows are covered in linen and vintage suzanis, the vintage table lamp is from Aero, and the floor lamp is by Restoration Hardware; the circular abaca rug was custom made.
