Waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee is one of life's singular pleasures. Too bad it comes with a downside: someone actually has to be awake and out of bed to brew it. Enter the most amazing thing to happen to coffee addicts worldwide — the alarm clock that brews your coffee.

Designed by Joshua Renouf, the Barisieur is every coffee addict's dream come true. Though it's currently unavailable, Renouf is looking for manufacturers in order to make this dream a reality. So, coffee addicts, start saving your bucks. Once it's available you're looking at around $420. C'mon, you know you'll pay it.

Though there is an alarm sound included, Renouf put a great deal of research into achieving the most soothing atmosphere possible to start the day. It's also easy tailored to your morning habits; if you know you're a snoozer, you can set the coffee to start brewing up to 30 minutes after the alarm goes off. If you want your cup immediately, you can set it to brew five minutes before your alarm. If you're a really stubborn sleeper, you can even set the brewing to be activated only when you flip a switch on the side so that your cup will be perfectly fresh when you're finally ready to open your eyes.

Renouf also wanted to help modern day movers and shakers set a healthy bedtime routine and remove themselves from the glow of their iPhones. You do have to set everything up the night before — the grounds, water, and milk — which he hopes will become a ritual, "signalling to the body and mind that it is time to unwind and relax." What's that? We didn't mention that it also warms your milk? Well, au lait fans, it certainly does.
